Joe-Joe is an adaptation of the diaries of 1960s British bad-boy playwright Joe Orton. This may be an entirely new genre of bio-pic, as Joe-Joe presents Orton not as one talented gay rogue, but as two fabulous and talented gay women, both named Joe Orton. This piece does its best to confound Freudian notions of narcissism as the analyst may have applied it to his understanding of women and homosexual men. Indeed, this video tries to confound the notion of individual identity itself.
